#705 RIFLE HUNT DURING THE BUGLE SEASON |
EHOELK: Our outfitter in Northwestern Colorado offers some of the best elk hunting in the West. They have over 180,000 acres involved in Colorado's Ranching for Wildlife Program. Within this program, hunting seasons have less restrictions and season dates are liberal. Our rifle hunts start in late August and run through early Deceber. This is a great opportunity to be rifle hunting in the mountains during the bugle season. Hunters will see good numbers of elk each day and hear lots of bugling activity. The early hunts are conducted by horseback. Accommodations are in a first class lodge with excellent meals. Hunters will leave each morning and take horses into the higher elevations where the elk are at this time of year. Hunters will hunt all day and return back to the lodge at night for a great meal and some good relaxation. Success on this hunt has been 80-90% over the years. This ranch also runs two other elk hunts. The first is a late season elk hunt when the animals have migrated down out of the hills. Hunters can literally see hundreds of elk per day. This is a much easier hunt as most all transportation is by four wheel drive vehicles. They also offer semi guided hunts in the month of October. Hunters will stay at the lodge and have their meals prepared for them. Hunters will need to have a vehicle to provide their own transportaion. Many hunters arrive there and rent a vehicle in town. Guides will help with game retrieval and good animal location tips. These semi guided hunts have had high success in the past. |

| MGSELK: Hunt the beautiful Paradise Valley of Montana for trophy class elk. This long time Montana outfitter hunts the Royal Teton Ranch. This ranch borders Yellowstone National Park to the South, giving you access to one of the largest elk herds in the world.
These elk migrate in and out of the park during the general hunting season, giving hunters a chance at old mature bulls that have lived most of their lives within the park's borders. There is also a lottery draw hunt in December and January when the mass exodus of elk from the park occurs. This is the best time to hunt, but the drawing odds on this permit are slim Accommodations are first class with log cabins and a full service guest ranch at your disposal.
